Scope and Contents
A 16mm colour cinefilm showing parades, harbour and market scenes. A note on the film can reads: 'High Thicket Snow, January 1962. Cap Ferrat, Bruges, Brussels, May 1962'.
Film opens at High Thicket, Frederick Tymms' home in Dockenfield , near
Farnham in Surrey, in January 1962. Woman and child taking a dog for
walk in the snow, and views of a house and garden in winter sunshine and snow.
0:53-1.20 At a Hunt meeting (riders, hounds, supporters) - possibly in Surrey.
Film then jumps to Belgium.
1:21 - 2:42 'Bruggges Schoonste Dag' - (Procession of the Holy Blood),
Bruges, Ascension Day, May 1962. Large crowds watch the parade.
Film then jumps to Algeria.
2:43- 4:16 Cap Ferrat on the coast of Northwest Algeria - hotels,
waterfront, sightseeing along the coast, ferries, harbours.
Film then jumps back to Belgium.
4:17-4:48 Flower market and caged birds for sale - Brussels, Grand Plaza
4:49-5:04 Exploring a castle (near Bruges?)
5:05 - 5:12 Fishing boats and fish market on quayside - in Ostend(?)
Film jumps back to UK.
5:14-5:34 Flowering trees, probably at High Thicket, Dockenfield,
Surrey. Two women walking in the garden.
