(Untitled), 06 Jun 1913
Scope and Contents
Copy of a letter from [Lord Northcliffe, formerly Alfred Harmsworth] to WSC in which he says that he acceded to WSC's request to treat the Marconi scandal in a non-party way because of the facts provided by WSC about the involvement of the Attorney General [Sir Rufus Isaacs, later 1st Lord Reading] and [David Lloyd] George. He urges that [Lord Murray of Elibank, formerly Alexander Murray] Master of Elibank should be forced to return in the light of his involvement with the affair as it will reflect badly on the [Liberal] Party and Parliament, comments on the poor "stage managing" by which the Marconi scandal was made public and discusses his "submersion" [trip in a submarine].
